2026 The Importance of the SILAR Method in Growing Thin Films Used in the Manufacture of Gas Sensors: A Review Science and modern technology
Abstract In this study, the importance of the SILAR (Successive Ionic Layer Adsorption and Reaction) method in growing thin films used as gas sensors was discussed. Some of the gas sensors implanted using this SILAR method were also discussed. We also highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of SILAR technology. It is concluded that SILAR is a simple, inexpensive and arguably the best technique for growth of semiconductors for gas sensor applications. At the conclusion of this article (review), future trends and expectations were suggested for researchers in order to improve this method for the purpose of investing in the manufacture of semiconductors with specific specifications. Keywords: SILAR Method, Thin Films, Gas Sensors, Semiconductors, metal oxides.
